Easter Sunday!!
Death is so ugly it has to go!
1) Death is so ugly that GOD CRIED
- Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him,she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, And said, where have yelaid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him! John 11:32-36
- And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Hebrews 2:15
* If you are to face death tomorrow how confident are you?
- And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement.Hebrews 9:27
- For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.Roman 3:23
2) Death is so ugly that GOD DIED
- Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of fresh likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Hebrews 2:14-15
- For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, but quickened by the spirit. 1 Peter 3:18
3)Death is so ugly that DEATH DIED
- Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, thought he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? John 11:25-26
*Death cannot destroy us if we believe God!
- O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 1 Corinthians 15:55-56
